This is the textur that turns the KO'd tanks black. Beginning with build 18.2 the BlackObj texture (attribute 42) works differently.
When a unit is KO'd the black object routine is triggered. If a polygon has the material attirbute of masked (single or double sided), the polygon is skipped. This is the same in all versions of PE and PEx. In PE, the first 16x16 pixels of the texture were applied to the ramaining polygons. In previous vesions of PEx, the entire BlackObj texture was applied.
Starting with build 18.2, all polygons without the masked material attribute will have there lighting lowered. The ammount of reduction is set by the "DAMAGEDARK" setting in the [options] section of PE_Game.ini. The default setting is 75. The BlackObj texture will only be applied to polygons that have the face attribute of BlackObj. The size of the texture applied will be the same at the texture originally applied to the polygone. The starting position on the BlackObj texture is determined by the Position and Level settings of the face attribute. Location is in 16 pixel chunks. Position sets the X and Level sets the Y.
